It is compulsory for all operators of a Personal Watercraft to hold a PWC Licence (PWCL) a separate licence from a Recreational Marine Driver Licence (RMDL) or boat licence and has been since 2006.
This course is competency-based training and assessment.
Module 7 is online Personal Watercraft theory and should take you approximately 1 to 2 hours.
You will be required to complete the online theory component prior to booking in a time with your trainer for your face to face training and assessment session. At this session, you will be given a validation assessment (revision) then be required to successfully complete a written theory test on what you have learnt online as well. You will take part in on-water practical training by explanation, demonstration and practice then assessed by your trainer on operation the training PWC supplied to you. This training and assessment session should take approximately 2 to 3 hours depending on class size.
