Reportable Incidents

It is illegal to sea dump marine pollutants, which include:

  • Oil, diesel, petrol and oil products
  • Sewage
  • Garbage, plastics, paper, nets, glass
  • Excessive noise
  • Damage to sub-marine habitats when anchoring
  • Marine Life damage/injury

Unacceptable behaviour includes:

  • Excessive noise levels in the vicinity of other moored vessels and shore-based dwellings
  • Excessive wash in the vicinity of moored vessels boat ramps and swimmers
  • Any unsafe operation of a vessel unnecessarily risking the safety of others
