Engine Failure
- Anchor boat
- Conduct faultfinding
- If unable to restart call a Volunteer Marine Rescue group on your marine radio for assistance
Engine Fire
- Access the situation
- Turn off engine
- Turn off fuel supply to engine
- If you decide to fight the fire use your fire extinguisher and fire bucket
- Send a Mayday call if you are in distress
- Gather all safety equipment together in preparation for an immediate abandon ship if required
