A person must be licensed to operate or be in charge of:
- A vessel fitted with a motor over 6 hp (4.5 Kw )
- Unlicensed persons are able to operate a boat under the direct supervision of another licensed person
Exemption: The operator of a vessel engaged in towing of a water skier MUST be a licensed person - An additional licence required to operate or be in charge of a Personal Water Craft (PWC) or Jet Ski
