General Safety Obligation - Properly Crewed

Ensure the ship is properly crewed by:

  • Having the person waterskiing wearing the correct PFD and a competent water ski observer at least 13 years of age or over onboard and watching the skier or towed person at all times
  • Having a deckhand onboard when operating a larger vessel to attach mooring lines, attend to passenger safety, etc
  • Before allowing another person to operate their boat the boat owner is required to verify that the person is licensed
